Within each wheel there is an inner magnetic collar, this is stationary and remains on the wheel's axle. The power for the LEDs is generated as the copper wrapped outer core spins around the stationary inner magnetic collar. All of this eliminates the need for the batteries.

Sunset offers the ability to completely customize your own skateboard, this includes a generous offering of wheel colors.
